Description

The monument comprises the remains of an enclosed settlement of prehistoric date represented by cropmarks visible on oblique aerial photographs.

The monument lies in arable farmland at around 90m OD. It comprises a roughly circular enclosure some 50m in diameter with a ditch or perhaps palisade approximately 1m wide. There are possible entrances at the SE and SSW. There are slight indications of possible internal features.

The area to be scheduled encompasses the remains described and an area around them in which traces of associated activity may be expected to survive. It is circular with a diameter of 80m as marked in red on the accompanying map.
