Description

The monument comprises a single standing stone situated within a field of improved pasture. It stands just over 4m tall and is up to 1.2m broad. At about 1.8m from the ground is an oval hole. The ground around the base of the stone is poached and packing stones are visible.

The area to be scheduled is a circle of 20m in diameter centred on the stone to include the stone and an area around it in which evidence relating to its erection and function may survive, as marked in red on the accompanying map extract.
